Saturday, the China Syndrome

China has lied, about everything. How good it is, how good the stuff it makes is, how the Chinese Virus started. The Chinese (not just the State but also the people) are chronic liars, it is all about face being kept, so a little lie about the probable death of a million or so people will matter nought to the Chinese. Watch their fudging on figures, on reasons, on everything.

The Chinese economy has now supposedly gone into negative figures, very different to the last years or massive economic growth reported as over the last ten years from 8% P.A to 6% P.A. How you can go from 6% growth to a negative of roughly -1%, a drop of 7% over two months. Very rubbery figures, but not if you accept that China lies.

The knock on effect will not be seen by the 1st world easily, as China always lies and will cover the facts for ever, but stark economic reality is about to hit the hybrid Communist/free market economy. Millions dragged out of rice paddies will be losing their factory jobs, even the army will find it hard to feed itself, the West will offer help and it will be taken but the probable civil insurrection will cripple China even more.

Its attempt to be number one in the World will dwindle away to be nothing but a large nation with a lot of people and some nukes trying to play catch up to the West. This Chinese Virus will cause a bigger Cold War than the one between The USSR and the USA (on behalf of Western Nations).

And they will hate it, having to eat crow (instead of bat), I can see again a withdrawal of China from the modern World, as they have done in the past many times. I can even see Xi losing his role (a health issue will be blamed) as the fish head is disposed of. 

The West will bobble along in the sea of markets which are mostly left to their own design, and they will end up running National factories for their products to consume. This will be a long period of adjustment, of between 25 to 50 years, but in the end things will stabilise with Internationalism the big loser.

Climate Change will also take a back seat as funding from Governments will dry up, but market forces will prevail and come up with better solutions at a much cheaper price.

So it will be goodbye from me and goodnight from him, but in actuality it will be goodnight from China.
