Will Gillard go?

I for one do not think Gillard will be challenged. It is all too hard and too late. The man who challenges her will be branded a misogynist (whether it be Rudd or Shorten – or the faceless men asking, nay, telling her to step aside for the sake of the party).

The ALP has painted itself into a corner and now must wait for the paint to dry before they can extricate themselves. Unfortunately for the ALP, the paint is the Australian voters and they have no intention of drying out at the moment, they are salivating at the thought of voting, that is voting Gillard and her henchmen and henchwomen out.

I predict there will be blue ties and fisticuffs at voting booths across Australia come September.

A bit about the Clean Energy Finance Corporation

So the clever little thinkers of the ALP decided to set up a time bomb inside the workings of the Public Service but run under the auspices of an “outside” enterprise. Its stated purpose is to deliver finance to clean energy technologies, it’s reality will be a waste of up to 10 billion dollars. Looking at the limitations of its intent (no nuclear or carbon capture technology – both Coalition stated goals) it is easy to see that this will be aimed at kite flying, wind turbine, wave technology, etc enterprises which will inevitably go from boom to bust in a very quick time. Remember Tim Flannery’s geothermal exercise, Israel’s attempt to electrify cars,  American Solar Electric companies.

One report says that out of energy conscious 750 startup companies only 150 are left. This is not to say that these figures are outside the range of normal startup companies, lots fall over in their first year and even more do not make it past 10 years, the difference is that private companies generally put their own funds on the line, or the banks that fund them have guarantees in place to recoup the funds if a fallover occurs.

The problem with a structure such as the CEFC is that it sources its funds from us, the taxpayers, and looking through its charter, there is no fallback position to regather “invested” funds.

Another example of dereliction of duty from the ALP, and forcing the result onto taxpayers.

“The CEFC will invest in organisations and projects using 'clean energy technologies' as well as manufacturing businesses that focus on producing the inputs required. The Clean Energy Finance Corporation Act 2012 excludes investment in technology for carbon capture and storage, nuclear technology or nuclear power. The CEFC will make its investment decisions independently, based on rigorous commercial assessments.”

Faith and Fact

Why do those who fall prey to the left side of politics have a belief in “faith” as opposed to “fact”.

Why do those who believe in a faith choose to omit the facts.

Why do those of faith always seem blind to the facts and in a real world the facts will always bear out the proof of evidence.

It is a fact that Wayne Swan, as Treasurer of Australia, has never delivered a surplus. He has promised a surplus, forecast a surplus, and those of “faith” believe him in that he will deliver a surplus.

It will never happen.

He will not have the chance as the Australian people, pragmatic and fact based, will toss him out of power on the 14th September 2013.

I predict, not a fact, that the primary vote for the ALP will be around the 30% of vote. This indicates to me that every 3 of 10 people I meet are blinded to the facts, are blind followers of “faith”, will never believe the facts as presented by evidence.

This saddens me to see every 3 out of 10 people playing their life out not by facts but by a fallacy probably caused by a few electrons buzzing around the wrong nucleus in the grey matter.

I guess this reflects why people keep their likeminded close to them, it does not make sense to hang out with the deluded.

Julia Gillard is Newspeak

Jujlia Gillard is 1984, she is Newspeak.

There will be no carbon tax under a Government I Lead. Well, there is.

457 Visa’s are out of Control. Her Government has distributed more than previous Governments.

I will stop the boats. More boats now than ever.

Australia is full, we will have to slow down immigration. Latest figures show immigration has jumped by a third to 230,000 a year.

There does seem to be a pattern here, every time Julia Gillard makes a statement that she puts across as fact, the opposite seems to be the truth.

George Orwell would be proud of her.

Ms Gillard, a poster girl for misandry

Ms Julia Gillard has survived another supposed challenge to her leadership of the ALP. A challenge without a challenge.

No one stood up to challenge so the current leadership has survived, yet with great damage. Eight or so front benchers have resigned their position so the second string team will now fill the positions.

Politics, like any other industry, generally fill the top positions with the best candidates, this is now not the case with the current ALP government.

Ms Gillard needs to to take a cold shower, a stiff draught, a good hard look in the mirror and realise she is leading her party to dismal abject failure.

The best result from her stubborn obstinance will be a cleaning out of the union henchpeople who inhabit the ALP. This will allow decent people with concern for Australia to take up and gain positions more closely aligned to the centre to take the ALP forward, a real reinvention of the party. Only 13% odd of real wealth creating workers actually belong to unions.

A misandrist cannot see the affect that her decisions are having on the ALP, she still sees things as unfair and only she can save the day for her sisterhood. Unfortunately, life is made up of females and males, the pie needs to be shared fairly for all to gain.

With a weakened front bench the ALP will struggle to stay as a viable Government, bring it on I say and let us get back to the real issues of paying off the debt, creating wealth and providing real jobs without a bullshit carbon tax and other constraints on business

ALP Wrestlemania

The latest from Canberra is that crucial polling taken before Ms Gillard and her supporters couped Mr Rudd from his job showed that Mr Rudd's support was on the rise.

More media spin from the ALP to try to show that the prodigal son returning to the top job will correct all things wrong, a last ditch attempt to convince voters to return to support the ALP.

I see a deeper malaise in all of this, the ALP is a party riven apart into two warring factions by core differences. One side is the left, the unions, Gillard (The Greens to a certain extent), a moribund breed of Marxists. The other side is the right, realist, adaptable, Smith, coming to terms and evolving into a modern left of centre party.

Rudd is in neither of these camps, rather he is a Ronan King, aloof, arrogant, solo, beholden to neither because of his (actually his wife’s) wealth. He will in all likelihood take the mantle to the next election but the voters are sick of the spat and will just as decisively kick them out.

This will give the ALP time to reinvent and remake itself and hopefully shake off the shackles of socialism and become that modern left of centre alternative.
