I for one do
not think Gillard will be challenged. It is all too hard and too late. The man
who challenges her will be branded a misogynist (whether it be Rudd or Shorten –
or the faceless men asking, nay, telling her to step aside for the sake of the party).
The ALP has painted itself into a corner and now must wait for the paint to dry
before they can extricate themselves. Unfortunately for the ALP, the paint is the
Australian voters and they have no intention of drying out at the moment, they
are salivating at the thought of voting, that is voting Gillard and her henchmen and henchwomen out.
I predict there will be blue ties and
fisticuffs at voting booths across Australia come September.
