Back for more Electioneering

Been a long time as Led Zeppelin would have written. But time marches on and the Globe still turns and the Sun still shines.

How things stay the same but change so much, we are in the middle of a long Election campaign that will go on so long that by the time we get to vote it will be a party night just so we can celebrate its end.

Choices are Liberal Lite under Turnbull or Labor Hate the Boss under Shorten. I think Liberal Lite will get up on the day (a long way away in a galaxy far far away), betting on all on line betting sites have the Right on about $1.35 to the Left on $3.00 odd. Never get in the way of a bookie and a bucket of cash, you will be killed in the stampede.

I could go into a deep and meaningful analysis (which I do not want to), just let me say there is no malice in the electorate, not even anger, and this shows that no no wants to rock the boat. There is no need for change, things are hard enough now for most, the hatches are being closed in anticipation of the coming financial storm that we all know about but choose to do nothing about.

It will hit us, the waves will crash over us, but the boat will keep on sailing but back to shore for safe harbour, with minimal damage but enough to startle us.

The next election will be about hard decisions that do need to be taken, major belt tightening, swallowing cods liver oil, and generally swooning from lack of sustenance.

All this will be exposed closer to November this year when America chooses a new King for four years. If Trump triumphs, which I think will happen, it will be the next Civil War in the good ole USA.

Those that work and pay taxes want an end to those that do not work and do not pay taxes. It will be bitter, it will be vicious, it will be violent, but the age of entitlement has to end. As Marie Antoinette is supposed to have said, "Let them eat cake", the taxpayers will be saying bake your own cake. And we, the taxpayers, are not supplying the ingredients, you with your handout have a kitchen, go and earn some readies to buy the ingredients yourself.

This attitude will wash into our next election here, and that could be sooner rather than later if we do not wake up and take the advantage of a Double Dissolution and allow our Senate to work as it should, as a States house and not as a PUP or Green fantasy or a Lambie bitchfest.
