Those who follow a religious creed like to believe in an ideology.
Those who follow the ALP are like a religious creed, they too like to believe in an ideology.
Those who follow the Liberals/Nationals coalition are not ideologues, but realists.
Take for example Ms Gillard's latest musings on education, disability and cost of electricity.
Education wise, a wish list has been placed on the agenda by the ALP, with no costings and no real way of changing things because education is not a Federal issue but a State responsibility. Ideology not reality.
Disability is another area that has not been costed properly, but is a wish of the ALP to "look after everyone". Again, no costings, ideology not reality.
Electricity, prices are rising, a reason is because States, under years of ALP governments, had money stripped away from power companies as special dividends to boost ALP state coffers. This money should have gone into infrastructure, but did not, so poles and wires are wearing and now need to be replaced. Ideology obviously went into this diversion of funds, ALP acolytes decided to spend the money elsewhere.Further to this, the Carbon Dioxide tax is causing prices to rise, ideology causing spiking in power costs.
Australians have a Federal election coming in the new year, I hope that actuality and reality outshine ideology, this is our only hope of not becoming a failed state, like Greece, Spain etc, and now possibly the USA.
